Hello!
Hello dear friends! We are José (20), Nicolás (19), Lucía (19), Florencia (18) and Shirley (18). We hope this will be the start of along "long-distance" friendship and you can learn more about our culture.
Today, we would like to tell you about the music we listen and show you Argentinian tradicional music.
In Argentina we listen all kind of music, our favorites are "Rock Nacional" (National Rock), Pop, Jazz and Reggeton but the tradicional music are Tango and Folklore. Some of the most famous singers and players of Tango are Carlos Gardel and Astor Piazzolla, and the most famous singers of Folklore are Mercedez Sosa, Atagualpa Yupanqui and Los chalchaleros.
Here you can watch some videos about it:

Here we use to go to the disco and hang out with friends almost all the weekends and the music, is very important to have fun. We like dancing Cumbia, Reggeton, Electronic-music and rock. Also, there are some places where you can dance Tango and we call it Milongas but usually old people go there.
In our country we have a lot of Nacional rock concerts like Cosquin Rock, Pepsi Rock and traditional festivals like "La Fiesta de la Vendimia" (Vintange Festival), among others.
Anyway, The music is very important in our daily life and we would like to know what is your favorite music and, that next time, you can tell us something about your traditions and preferences.
SEE YOU !!!

I'm not that big into dancing but i do share your interest in listening to all kinds of music. Like you said you listen to reggae, electronica and rock music and i also enjoy these kinds of musics. I took a look at your youtube.com links that you provided and that is some really intense dancing. I'm not sure if i could even begin to learn how to dance those dances.
We also have a few festivals and day long / weekend long concerts. A few i know include the Virgin Festival. (Its named after a record company). Theres Bonnaroo festival which is more of a jam band festival but is now becoming more mainstream music.
My personal music favorites are mostly classic rock extending from the 1950's through 1980's. Some bands include The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and other face-melting guitar bands.
The only music i really do not like are todays "heavy rock" bands and country music.
Hey José, Nicolá, Lucía, Florencia, and Shirley. I watched your youtube videos and the dancing looks really hard and fun! I do not understand how these women can dance like that in high heels. I can hardly walk in high heels.
I love music as well. I mostly listen to acoutic and soft rock music. Occasionally I listen to pop music. My favorite artists are Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, and Johnny Cash.
I am not really into dancing, but I did take a class a couple years ago called the West Coast Swing and we learned the Rumba and the Cha Cha. I took it with my boyfriend and my parents, it was a lot of fun.

Wassup, José, Nicolá, Lucía, Florencia, and Shirley. Your interest in music and dancing is cool. I am really bad at dancing but I love music. It's nice to just get lost in your favorite song. I am familiar with the dances you mentioned but only from television. It must be nice to see them in person. I don’t think I would ever be able to learn how to dance like that; I don’t have that kind of coordination.
I like different kinds of music but mostly I listen to rap, pop, or R&B (rhythm and blues). In Baltimore we have our own kind of house music, which is called Baltimore club. There are certain dances that people do in correlation to the songs. If you go to a local club you can see guys and girls battling each other in dancing to see who is the best.
